Programs are available for students in all majors...Please click here to find out more information about Lehigh Study Abroad...
Students pick programs based on location or on the availability of courses in a subject of particular interest. Many programs provide a language and culture immersion. Students who attend programs operated by other universities transfer credits (but not grades) back to Lehigh. As with any other transfer situation, students are advised to have the courses pre-approved for transfer by the appropriate Lehigh department. Students attending approved programs pay Lehigh tuition and have access to the same financial aid they would have if studying on campus.
Each year, Lehigh faculty lead study abroad programs, usually during the summer or the break between fall and spring semesters (winter term). English is the language of instruction in these programs, which do not entail transfer credits because the courses are Lehigh courses. In recent years, Lehigh summer programs have been conducted in Belgium, England, France, the Czech Republic, Italy, and China. Recent winter-term programs have been offered in England, Italy, Costa Rica, Spain, and Ghana.
