COH Colloquium: "Bad Health, Bad Feelings, Bad People"

The College of Health, in partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences’ Interdisciplinary Programs, the Institute for Health Policy & Politics and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is pleased to present a colloquium series focused on disability independence. Featuring activists and scholars across disciplines who advance the well-being and agency of people with disabilities, the disability independence series will address topics such as assistive technology, disability innovation, disability histories, and more.

The Israel-Palestine Conflict: A Teach-In

Everyone’s talking about the war in the Gaza Strip, but why did it happen now? Why does it raise such a high emotional response? What can we do about it? Come and hear experts in this teach-in and join the conversation. The event will be divided between three 10-minute presentations, followed by an hour of Q&A. Prof. Nitzan Lebovic will talk about the history of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict; Prof. Sa’ed Atshan will talk about pacifism, peace, and justice in Palestine/Israel. Prof.
