Ms. Anne R. Kline '81

Anne R. Kline retired from a 35-year career in Commercial Banking in April, 2021.   She is now the Director of the Pohanka Family Office located in Capitol Heights, MD.  County, MD. She is the Opera Ambassador and a member of  the Washington National Opera’s Board of Trustees of the Kennedy Center. She is also a member of the National Committee of the Performing Arts of the Kennedy Center. She is on the Executive Committee of the Wolf Trap Foundation Board and recently became a member of the Board of Directors at The Metropolitan Opera in NYC.

Studying Quark Gluon Plasma

Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions ram ions traveling at speeds comparable to the speed of light, by which physicists can study the primal form of matter that occurred in the universe shortly after the Big Bang. These impacts and the properties of the matter produced in them are the focus of research by experimental physicist Anders Knospe.

Dr. Julia E. Klees '82

Julia E. Klees is currently Associate Corporate Medical Director for BASF Corporation, the North American subsidiary of BASF SE, the world’s leading chemical company. Functional responsibilities include the design and management of the BASF Corporation medical programs including occupational health surveillance, medical emergency response, health promotion programs, and work re-entry from short term disability. She consults with her colleagues in Environmental Health and Safety regarding the relationship of health effects to toxicology and industrial hygiene.
